Ball Bearings for Bike Wheel Hubs

All ceramic ball bearing (S series) was an entirely successful solution for bike wheel hubs when TPI first issued in 2020. It, all ceramic ball bearing (S series), has both extraordinary material properties and bearing performance in our factory examination and on the field. However, the cost is too high for most users and only track athletes can afford it.

TPI came up with an evolutionary solution, reducing the cost yet still manage to meet the properties and performance as S series bearing as possible. The brand new Hybrid + bearing (3S1 series) was designed and manufactured for such purpose.

According to TPI factory examination, you may find the relative start torque, relative running torque and the relative weight for steel bearings, S series bearings and 3S1 series bearings as below,

As a result, weighing only 75% of the steel bearings, start torque reduced by 40% to the steel bearings and costing only 50% compared with the S series bearings, 3S1 series bearings are the best solution in the amateur or even semi-professional application of bike wheel hubs.
